# About

# Hi! I'm a **software engineer** that thrives working with **domain experts** on **technical problems** to create **high-quality software solutions.**

I enjoy working on applications where I can have a **real-world impact**. I've worked on projects involving robotics, 3D simulations, real-time rendering, electronics, virtual and augmented reality. However, I really enjoy creating well-architected web applications (distributed systems), especially using **Elixir** and **Phoenix LiveView**.

I've been using **Arch Linux** as my daily driver since 2018 and have a **homelab** where I learn more about systems administration, networking and container orchestration. I'm currently based in **Easley, South Carolina** at [Simply Binary](http://simplybinary.com) but mostly working at [ThoroughCare](https://www.thoroughcare.net/) and helping create [Slipstream](https://www.goslipstream.app/) and [ToolPool.Garden](https://toolpool.garden/).

In addition, I'm active in [HackGreenville](https://hackgreenville.com/), [Synergy Mill](https://synergymill.com/) and the [Travelers Rest Historical Society](https://travelersresthistoricalsociety.org/).

I'm also trying to be active in the [Upstate SC Community Project](https://upstatesc.org/), [SC Mesh](https://scmesh.us), [Launchpad GVL](https://launchpadtv.com/), [Pixel Pushers](https://luma.com/pixelpushers), [GVL Game Devs](https://luma.com/GVLGameDevs), [Alt.computing](https://luma.com/alt-computing-gvl), and [Upstate Carolina Linux Users Group](https://www.uclug.org/), but as you might guess, maybe not very successfully.
